Operating in the remote Huehuetenango region of Guatemala,
Asociación Barillense de Agricultores (ASOBAGRI) connectes the many culturally distinct communities producing some of the most highly sought after coffees in the country, and gives farmers there the ability to get their crop to the global market.
This particular lot comes from a group of 182 all-women farmers, thus the name Manos de Mujer, Women’s Hands. The cooperative allows producers operating on their own small farms and micro-mills to work collectively, sharing knowledge and strengthening communities by utilizing sustainable farming practices and reinvesting profits to increase both coffee yield an quality year after year.
This washed coffee expresses clean and classic flavors of chocolate, cranberry, caramel, clove and orange.
